Hola Everyone!
It's been a great week of work and work and work!! We have been working so dang hard here in this area and we've only had one baptism. But, we are definitely NOT going to stop working! The Lord has blessed us so much as we have kept on working!
Maybe we haven't had a lot of baptisms yet, but something amazing that my companion and I were able to see was the reactivation of members that we have been working with! So the first Sunday we got here, there were about 60 members in sacrament meeting. And yesterday we had 100!! It was so dang awesome. And also 3 investigators were able to make it to church and we're hoping and fasting and praying that they will be baptized!!
I literally can't tell you all how much I love this church and how dang much HOPE it brings into my life. I would be nothing without the knowledge that the Lord has blessed me with!
My companion and I were talking this week about General Conference that is coming up and how dang EXCITED we are to watch it. It's pretty funny. I've always loved General Conference, but now it's literally like 100,000 times better than Christmas!! I hope that you can all prepare yourself to listen to conference and that you can all pay super close attention to what the leaders of the church are going to tell us! We are in the latter-days and as the scriptures teach us - NOW is the time to prepare us to go before God one day and be judged by him!! I love you all so much and I hope you all have such an amazing week!!

Week 82
Hola Everyone!
It's been an interesting week! I would have to title this week, as I always said to my sister "Patience is a Virtue." Anyways, I want to share a story with you all now!!
So anyways, we've been working really hard with a super awesome brother. His name is Wilber and his whole family - wife and kids - are all members. But he is not a member. So we decided what we needed to do to be able to help him accept a baptismal date was have a Family Home Evening with him and the Elder's Quorum! We planned it all up and we got to his house on Saturday to take him to the church and he wasn't home. So we did all we could to find him and we couldn't find him. He finally answered his phone and told us that he would meet us at the church. So we got to the church and waited literally like an hour and he never got there. But after being patient, he finally came and we had an awesome lesson with him. I feel like we were able to soften his heart a little!!
We invited him to church on Sunday as well. We were waiting and waiting (this is were patience comes in) and finally after the Sacrament he and his whole family all walked in together. Goodness I sure do feel God's love for all of his children!! It was such an amazing feeling as we saw him walk in with his family. I think I was smiling for like 5 minutes straight!!
We also found two new people on the street - Bianco and Sayra. We taught them on Saturday for the first time. We invited them to church and they came!! It was so amazing!! I know that the Lord loves us and I know, as Elder Holland has said that if we are faithful members, the blessing WILL COME. Maybe not today or tomorrow or next week. Or maybe they won't even come in our lives on earth, but they WILL COME!! I love you all so much. Have an amazing week!!

Week 81
Hola Everyone!
This week has been a little bit of a tough week. We had a baptism all planned, but it fell through. And we have about 5 young kids like between the ages of 10 and 16 who are ready to be baptized, but their parents haven't wanted to give them permission. So me and my companion have been praying and fasting a lot for them!! Anyways this week we had a really powerful experience with the Spirit!!
So we were teaching a person of the catholic faith this week and he hasn't wanted to pray or read the Book of Mormon to know if our message is true. So anyways as we were finishing up the lesson with him, I felt the impression to tell him, "Brother, I know that one day we will be before our maker - face to face with Him - and we will have to tell Him everything that we did here on this earth to become closer to Him. And I am CERTAIN that He will ask you if two young boys arrived at your door one day and if they gave you a Book of Mormon and you will have to respond to Him if you read it or not." That was a super strong experience and the Spirit was super strong.
That same day we went and taught another investigator. His whole family are members but him. Anyways, we taught him the restoration and we got to the end. My companion asked him, "Brother, would you like to know if these things are true?" And he said, "No. I KNOW they are true!!" We quickly put a baptismal date with him and we are hoping that he will get baptized this month or next!!
A funny experience that we had this week - well, I guess you could call it funny. We were studying at like 9:20 AM yesterday (Sunday) and our church starts at 10:00 AM. Anyways, we got a call from the first counselor in the Bishopric and he basically starts pleading forgiveness from the start. So we were like, "What can we help you with?" And he said, "Well, I forgot to tell you guys, but we need you to give a talk in church today!!" Haha it was super awesome and we had the awesome opportunity to talk in church yesterday!!
I KNOW this church is true and that we can only find happiness through Jesus Christ!! I love what John 16:33 says - I'm not sure how it goes in English, but you should read it!! (John 16:33 - These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.) We can only find Peace through JESUS CHRIST!! I love you all so much. Have an amazing week!!

Week 80
Hola Everyone.
I think I would have to use a little Spanglish to be a title to this email. I think I would call this week MILAGROS (Miracles) BABY!!
It's been such an awesome week. My companion and I have definitely seen a miracle! SO Jorge is a 15 year old kid and the missionaries have been teaching him for about a year and a half to two years. They have stopped teaching him many times in the process because his parents haven't given him permission to be baptized! His parents both believe in God, but one is Catholic and the other is just a believer in God. Anyways, my companion and I went to visit him last Monday and he told us that he had talked to his mom about being baptized and she told him no! Wow! We were pretty bummed about the whole situation. But later on in the week, on Thursday, we went to his house again and they were unloading a tuck of about one to two ton of papaya, which is a fruit here in Mexico. Anyways, we started helping them with that and as we finished up we felt like we should bare testimony to his parents about the gospel.
So my companion and I bore powerful testimony of the church and how we became members and how it has blessed us so much in our lives and for the reason we were teaching their son. They both looked at us and said, "Well then, if our son wants to be baptized, we don't have a single problem with that!!" WOW!! What an amazing and powerful experience that was with Jorge. It was such a blessing to be able to see him be baptized after so much time!!
I KNOW that Jesus Christ lives and that he loves us. This is HIS church and it was restored through the prophet, Joseph Smith. I now that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he was called by God and that he saw God the Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. I know that Russel M. Nelson is a prophet of God and that he speaks with Jesus Christ. I know the Book of Mormon is true!! Have an amazing week and know that I love you all so dang much!! MIRACLES DO EXIST!!!
