Hola Everyone!
It's been maybe the most interesting week in the mission. I definitely got some good ol stories to tell you guys this week! And you guys all know me well and I'm super open - so I hope you get a good laugh at the story I'm going to tell you!!
Anyways to start off with the GOOD NEWS, Othoniel - the young kid that got baptized - was confirmed this week!! And we had another baptism as well. His name is Heriberto and he's such a dang good dude!! We are so dang excited to be working here in this area and to see the blessings that the Lord allows us to have as we work to find his children that are lost in this world and bring them back to the fold!! When we first got to know Heriberto (he's only 14 years old), we just started to befriend him and he told us he goes to the gym to workout! So anyways, every time we went to teach him, we started off the lesson by having a push up competition!! And we gained his trust little by little. And now goodness, we are such good friends. Now every dang time we see him or he sees us, we give each other a big ol hug!!!! The gospel sure does BLESS each and every single one of us!!
Well . . . now to tell you all the funny, crazy - first time in my life - experience. I'll start off by telling you what we ate on Saturday! So basically we eat chicken and rice here EVERY single day. My companion and I always joke around and say that we're going to start praying so that the sisters here mix it up a little! But, no. We really are so grateful for their willingness to feed us!! Anyways, the sister fed us on Saturday and she gave us some good ol pork chops. And goodness, our eyes lit up when we saw them!! So we ate a super lot and then they gave us a super thin bread that's called reganada and it's super good as well.
So we were walking to our appointment right after lunch and I was eating the bread and everything was all good. But out of nowhere, I told my companion that I've gotta go to the bathroom RIGHT NOW. So we were passing by a members house and of course he wasn't home. The church was about 4 blocks from where we were at and so I told my companion let's go. So there we went, speed walking and everything and I was definitely saying A LOT of prayers in my heart. Well about a block from the church, I knew I wasn't going to make it - oh, good ol Mexican food, you gotta love it! - so I gave my backpack to my companion and started running. Well, I made it to the bathroom, but ya, time ran out and I didn't make it to the toilet!! As my companion entered the bathroom and saw that I didn't make it, I simply told him, "Hey, I wasn't kidding." Hahaha. We got a good laugh out of it! I told him that's the only time in my whole life that I haven't made it to the bathroom and of course it had to be here on my mission. Hahahah!!
Well, it was an interesting and funny good, ol week that we had here in the mission!! It's definitely a once in a lifetime opportunity and it surely has blessed me BEYOND belief!! We also had an activity where we watched Ephraim's Rescue and I just about cried the spirit was so strong. If you haven't seen it, you HAVE to watch it!! May WE ALL be ready and worthy when the time comes. I know for myself that I have to be better and I have to need to be better!! I love you all so much and I hope you all have such an amazing week!!

Week 87
Hola Everyone!
Well, this week has been pretty dang interesting! It’s so crazy reading the Book of Mormon and being here in Mexico at the same time! It just helps me to know the TRUTH more and more everyday of the Book of Mormon!
This week has been Semana Santa (Holy Week) and my goodness it sure is a crazyyyyyyyyyyy week! It’s a week when we should remember our SAVIOR Jesus Christ and what He did for us. But here it’s a crazy week of drinking and partying. My companion and I can’t help but laugh sometimes because as we read the Book of Mormon, we see the same things that happened to the Lamanites happening here in Mexico and it just confirms the truth even more!
Like this week we got home and out of no where we heard a lot of noise and everything in the street. It was like 9:50 at night so we went out on the balcony to see what was going on. We saw a group of about 40 people marching in the street and in front of all of them were 5 people playing like the drums. Everyone behind them were just drinking and making a heck of a lot of noise. Hahaha!! Goodness I’m going to miss this place!!
Anyways, we had a baptism . . . . . but he didn’t get confirmed. So just like Peter said in the Bible, his baptism doesn’t count. But don’t worry, he’s getting confirmed this Sunday. We planned it all out well. And we are waiting on three more baptisms this week, so we will be praying a lot so that they can be baptized!!
I sure do love you all so much. I know without a shadow of a doubt that THIS is the Church of Jesus Christ!! He leads and guides us in these latter-days through President Nelson! FOLLOW THE PROPHET AND DON’T GO ASTRAY! I have forgotten a lot of English, but I haven’t forgot that amazing hymn! I sure hope you all have an amazing week!!

Week 86
Hola everyone!
My companion and I are just another witness this week that miracles DO EXIST!!
So like I told you this past week, Brother Wilber and Sister Reynita were going to be baptized. Well they both got baptized!!!! Goodness, it was such an amazing experience being there with them as they were baptized!
Brother Wilber has had a really, really tough life. He has been addicted really bad to alcohol. But after inviting him I think about 15 times to be baptized, he accepted!! He has been such an amazing example to me and I have seen that he really just wants the best for his family! Especially for his kids that are growing up! We are witnesses that the gospel changes lives!!
And Reynita is a young girl. She's only 14 years old and I'm just about positive she is the purest 14 year old that I know!! She's so dang innocent and she has been such an amazing example for me as well!! Her mom isn't a member and her brother is having a few problems with drugs. But I know that through her example, they both will one day be baptized. And I sure hope that I'm fortunate enough to be here when they get baptized!!
I know more and more with a surety every single week that this is the ONLY true church of JESUS CHRIST and ONLY through HIM can we be saved in the last days!! I love you all so dang much and I hope you all have an amazing week!!

Week 85
Hola Everyone!
It's been an awesome week with General Conference. WOW - it was AMAZING, wasn't it?!! I sure did love it that is for sure!! We had such an amazing experience this week with conference and the power of the holy ghost in our lives and the lives of others!!
So anyways we invited EVERYONE here in our area to Conference. Haha, I don't think everyone, but we sure did try to!! We invited everyone that we could! So in all the sessions, we had 7 investigators that were able to make it there. It was so amazing! And with the 7 that made it there, we made 4 baptismal dates!!
One of our investigators made it to conference, but he has a little bit of a tougher heart. Haha. He's such a good man. his name is Wilber and he has literally told us that he KNOWS THAT THE GOSPEL IS TRUE, but he just hasn't wanted to accept a baptismal date. So anyways, he made it there to Conference and after President Nelson spoke and said that the time is NOW, because time is running out, he felt the spirit very strong. So my companion and I asked him, "Brother Wilber. What do you think? Do you think you should be baptized, brother?" And he accepted to be baptized this week!!!! Goodness, what an extremely HUGE blessing. He and 3 others should be baptized this Saturday. We are hoping and praying that everything will go alright!!
It's literally IMPOSSIBLE to deny that THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS is true after watching conference. What a spirit we sure did feel there!! I had goosebumps just about the whole 5 sessions!! I know that our time is short and I know that the time is now!! So if you're not on the path President Nelson talked about, GET BACK ON IT!! I love you guys so much. I know that it's not easy, but it's possible!! Have an amazing week!

Week 84
Hola Everyone!
What a week it has been! We sure have been working like crazy here in th field and it’s been amazing!! What blessings we have been given as we have worked hard as a companionship and as a mission!
So just to inform you all a little bit, we saw a MIRACLE as a mission this month! So we have been baptizing about 40-60 people every month. Well President Conde gave us a goal as a mission that we could baptize 80 in a month. So we have all been working our tails off to be able to reach the goal. We asked the assistants yesterday how many baptisms we had for the month of March and they told us 117!! WOW. I don’t think there is another word I can say. We felt such such a paz (peace/joy). We started yelling in our apartment when they told us that!!!!!!!!!!
Also we had to change houses and everything this week. We have just been so dang busy here and there were also a few situations we had to deal with here in the zone, but we finished the week strong!! As we finished this change, my companion and I meditated on why we only had 1 baptism because we worked so dang hard. And I remembered the words of Elder Uchtdorf in his message in the March Liahona. He said basically that we may not receive the blessings today, maybe not tomorrow or next week or next year. But for those that are FAITHFUL the blessings WILL come - we might have to wait until heaven, BUT THEY WILL COME!! I KNOW that to be true!
I hope and pray that we can take our questions to conference this weekend with an open heart and I can promise you with all of my heart that you will receive an answer to your doubts or questions or problems, whatever it may be!! I love you all so dang much! Have an amazing week!
