The Post Office called us at about 7:30 this morning letting us know that Jordan's letter from Church headquarters was here. Holy cow . . . talk about nerves. We decided to open his call at 10:00 this morning at Granny Blake's house. Quite a few people showed up. Jordan was just a little nervous!
Mexico Oaxaca (said Wa-hawk-a) Mission! Minutes before he opened his call, he was asked where he thought his call would be. A week ago he picked Brazil, but today he said he really thought he would go to Mexico. And he was right!
He goes to the Mexico MTC on August 22nd. We are all so excited!
Here were everyone's guesses for where he would be going. Each guess was marked by a pushpin on the map. You can see they were all over the place, but the places people thought the most were Brazil, Spain, Africa, and Mexico.

Some pictures of the people that were there. We were definitely missing Maquel and her family, but Kolar had her on FaceTime, so she was there through technology. It was a busy day with work, parties, and Easter weekend, so people had to listen and run, but it was a special day for sure - one we will never forget!
This morning when I woke up, the Hymn I'll Go Where You Want Me to Go kept running through my mind. It gives me such comfort and I know that Jordan will be one of the BEST missionaries out there. And I also know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that Oaxaca is where he is needed and where the Lord called him.
It may not be on the mountain height or over the stormy sea,
It may not be at the battle's front my Lord will have need of me.
But if, by a still, small voice he calls to paths that I do not know,
I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine: I'll go where you want me to go.
Perhaps today there are loving words which Jesus would have me speak;
There may be now in the paths of sin some wand'rer whom I should seek.
O Savior, if thou wilt be my guide, tho dark and rugged the way,
My voice shall echo the message sweet: I'll say what you want me to say.
There's surely somewhere a lowly place in earth's harvest fields so wide
Where I may labor through life's short day for Jesus, the Crucified.
So trusting my all to thy tender care, and knowing thou lovest me,
I'll do thy will with a heart sincere: I'll be what you want me to be.
I'll go where you want me to go, dear Lord,
Over mountain or plain or sea;
I'll say what you want me to say, dear Lord;
I'll be what you want me to be.
LOVE this and LOVE Jordan! So proud of him and I can't wait to read his weekly emails home and to see him grow in the gospel and in his testimony!
